Toronto City Council transportation Issues

Toronto City Council transportation Issues

We have over 100 cranes in the air constructing new condos, however we do not have the sewer systems or traffic systems to support these new developments. The costs to drive downtown could go towards bettering public transit with exemptions for carpools, taxis/ubers, delivery vehicles identified with coloured plates or other such noticeable marker. Eligible vehicle owners would pay one price per year upon license renewal. The TTC could honour a 2 hour grace period of the time of purchasing the ticket to go anywhere along the system within the 2 hours. This would save the citizens money and intrigue them to take transit more often lowering the traffic and bettering our carbon footprint as a city whole.  Shelters, Ontario Works and other support systems should also be able to provide more tokens or a bus pass for medical appointments, bail program, schooling, or any government required appointments etc. Too many people are sleeping on the street, missing out on legal, developmental, educational obligations and not getting the proper medical attention required because they simply can’t afford to get around. I would like to see a city where all of the people get around with ease and efficiency while still helping our financial economy in fairness to our great city.

Paul Murton Toronto wants to make it easier to get around our great city
